INTERNATIONAL WATER AND CLIMATE SUMMIT “THE LARGEST RIVERS IN THE WORLD EXCHANGE VIEW”.

For the first time in Rome, in a extraordinary meeting, the world’s most representative and largest rivers and lake basins have shared an international exchange view with the participation of representatives of organizations, universities, research centers, companies , banking institutions (International Monetary Fund, World Bank, EIB) journalists and NGOs. The Summit was held in Campidoglio Palace, organized by the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with UNECE (Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations), Alliance of Companies, Alliance of Big Cities (16 mega cities with over 300 million inhabitants) and UNESCO. In order to underline this special event, the most beautiful and iconic fountains in Rome – Trevi Fountain, Fontana dei Leoni in Piazza del Popolo, Fontana del Pantheon, Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona, Fountains in Piazza Farnese, Fountain of the Goddess Rome in Campidoglio – were illuminated with blue lights.
